The course is a mixture of engaging interactive videos, discussions and exercises to increase your knowledge and build your skills. The three-hour course can be paused, whenever you like, so you can complete it at your own pace.

Curriculum Outline

Our unique approach delivers an easy-to-follow, three-step performance enhancement program using cognitive-based skills and practices to help gamers all over the world.

In this first module, we introduce the concept of self-regulation and how to create a balanced schedule and positive mental health. You will also learn the key components of a successful mindset in esports performance, the harms of a toxic mindset and how to overcome tilt in gaming.

In this module, we explore goal setting and performance. We cover how to set SMART goals, effective vs ineffective goals, and the consequences of improper goals. You will also learn how to optimize your esports performance: what factors hold you back/push you forward, mindfulness and self-regulation techniques.

In this final module, we cover the essential core traits of an elite esports player – including commitment and discipline – and how to avoid imposter syndrome. We also look at what separates professional esports athletes from gamers, and how to develop a talent stack and growth mindset.

Dr Ryan Terao is a clinical and esports psychologist, mental performance coach and esports program developer. As an esports psychologist, Dr Terao brings a systemic and holistic approach and perspective to the mental, physical and social health of gamers.
